Energy Efficiency in Manitou Homes

Many Manitou homes still have original single-pane windows or early replacement windows from the 1980s and 1990s. Upgrading to modern energy-efficient windows makes a dramatic difference in these homes.

The improvement is especially noticeable in older homes with minimal wall insulation. When the windows are the biggest thermal weak point, replacing them has an outsized impact on comfort and energy bills.

We recommend a minimum of double-pane with Low-E coating and argon gas fill for every Manitou installation. For homes at higher elevations in the canyon or with significant sun exposure, triple-pane is worth the upgrade.
